Bitcoin treasury companies have outperformed Bitcoin manyfold over.
YTD:
BTC: 8.75%
Strategy: 23%
MetaPlanet: 357%
Blockchain Group: 1,531%
But BTC isn't the only one.
ETH, SOL and HYPE are also starting to see interest from institutional buyers. 👇

Aside from Strategy, Japan's MetaPlanet continues their acquisition spree, with plans to amass 210K BTC by 2027.
Semler Scientific also released their own target of 105K BTC by 2027 or 0.5% of the BTC total supply.
With $ETH and $SOL being some of the largest altcoins, $SOL and $ETH treasury companies have emerged as well.
ETH saw SharpLink Gaming $SBET capture headlines, while SOL had
DeFi Development Corp $DFDV, among others.
In the past week, three separate companies have also established their own $HYPE treasury strategies.
- Tony G Co-Investment Holdings acquired 10,000 $HYPE for $411K
- Eyenovia raises $50M, plans to acquire 1M $HYPE
- Lion Group Holdings Ltd secured a $600M facility to acquire $HYPE
This is surprising considering $HYPE is not even in the top 10 largest cryptocurrencies.
This could be due to Hyperliquid's cult-like following, or possibly because of the team's alignment through their own acquisition of $HYPE tokens with protocol revenue.
What could the next popular crypto treasury asset be?
Or will the winners just keep winning?
Hyperliquid.
